At the 2016 St. George’s Under-20 CARIFTA Games, he clinched the ‘Gold’ medal with a throw of 78.28 m which was a competition record as well as a national record.
When he won the ‘Bronze’ medal (with a throw of 79.65 m) at the 2016 Bydgoszcz World Athletics Under-20 Championships, he had set a new Grenadian national record as well as a new OECS record.
In March 2018, during his 2nd outdoor competition of the season, he recorded a throw of 81.95 m which bettered Mississippi State University’s freshman record in javelin throwing by more than 6 meters. The performance catapulted him to the top of the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) leaderboard and 4th place in the world rankings.
He soon went on to become the SEC (Southeastern Conference) champion with a throw of 82.04 m which was also a new meet record. In May 2018, he was named the ‘SEC Field Freshman of the Year’.
At the 2019 Lima Pan American Games, he won the ‘Gold’ medal with a throw of 87.31 m which was a new games record as well as a new national record. This was also Grenada’s first-ever ‘Gold’ medal at the Pan American Games.
